Default P1494: Leak Detection Pump Switch or Mechanical Fault

I just got the P1494 code on the van. I took the passenger headlight and located the vacuum pump, but did not see any sort of switch there. I did find an electrical connector dangling free near the vacuum pump area. The free connector was electric-taped to the headlight wiring. Is there supposed to be some sort of a connector that plugs into the vacuum pump? does anyone have a picture of their vacuum pump. I am afraid that the previous owner replaced the pump with the wrong part.

any help is appreciated.
