what does the speed sensor do [ spins off the sun gear] in the tail shaft of trans has 3 prong pin held on by clamp and 1 bolt ----------my question is -- if disconnected --- what doesnt work, ie: speedometer///over -drive ///shifting ?

 

It controls the speedometer and the cruise control.
