replacing the fuel pump
I am on several forums (Administrator or Moderator on three of them) and only see that when the person is less than civilized. You to me do not sound like that type of person at least from what I have read so far.

On my 1989, there is a capped nipple on top which is there for siphoning out the gas, if you let it down on extended "J" hooks, you should be able to see it. Make a thread chaser shown above so you don't twist off the "J" hooks. Oil them up well then attempt to TIGHTEN the nuts a turn or two, so you can get those chasers right up there close to do a thorough cleanup of those threads.
