Default Need a softer ride

Currently my van hits cracks and bumps really hard. Everything shakes, and it's pretty rough.( it rides like my old pickup!) I thought these were supposed to ride a lot smoother? Is it the shocks? They look look they're from '02. Bushings? Springs? Any ideas?

How old are your tires? Some tires get rougher and rougher as they age. What PSI you running. LT tires or P/ XL? Xtra Load passenger tires ride smoother than LT tires, but LT tires have better steering response and sidewall puncture protection

Check the PSI. It need not be at the max listed on the tire unless the van is fully loaded, and then some.

Springs get softer with time.

Bad shocks will cause bouncing after a bump.

Any bad suspension bushings will transmit more road irregularities than a good bushing. Usually bad bushings are accompanied by creaking groaning and/or squeaking.
