the ASD relay could be your culprit

found the van issue... so simple and stupid that i missed it... the rear body harness (brake lights, turn signals, tag light, fuel pump, lighting ground, etc) runs over the driveshaft and it fell off its mount and dropped on the driveshaft which chewed it in half.... yay for simple(ish) fix... can't believe i didnt think of it sooner. I was looking under the van and i was like why is that hanging so low?

its just coincidence that the fusible link fell apart when i tugged on it.. but now i gotta splice that too :/
