In boiling water the reading should be around 1.0 x1000 or 1K ohms. Your reading is 4.2K higher than that. So as long as you feel you did the test correctly, then the CTS is definitely not going to as low of a resistance as it should.

Default more miss fire update

hi all , spent another day on van today , had a result with phoning local usa parts supplier told him my troubles he said bring van over and try some new parts from his stock , and see if anything cured it , i fitted a new throttle position sensor , exactly the same , new ignition coil, no better , bought another set of new plugs , ,, he hooked up his fault code scanner , no faults/ codes found on scanner ,, he looked for air leaks on vacumn side , plus checked what i had looked at done over last few weeks , he removed crank position sensor and found metal shaving on it , but no different , he suggested , a magic eye in distributor , or a 02 sensor in exhaust , any body have any ideas to these ? now on the way home 25 miles ive noticed that missfire is not hardly there if i press the overdrive button on and light is on , can any one give me details of what this button does ie any thing to ign or fuel? thanks for help im running out of ideas now cheers all julian
