Hello Everyone. My name is Jacek and I live in europe/ poland.

I own 1991 b250, I love it, dont want to sell it and i take care of it as good as i can

and now i have problem with gearbox

no one in poland can help me, and many have tried..

when I reach 4 gear and OD is turning ON car is starting to shake very much, when I press O/D off button everything is OK, so i assume that O/D is a problem. Can anyone tell at what parts in tranny i should check when i take it apart?

What you describe can be called torque converter clutch chatter, and is common on dodge trannies who have had the fluid replaced with anything but ATF +3 or ATF +4.

Mine occurred at 47 to 58 mph under light acceleration in top gear and has not done it in 65+k miles, since I replaced the fluid with the correct stuff

 

hmmm. Thank U, this can be very useful, I not sure what oil was used during last service, I will ask my mechanic!
