Ok, I'm not real short, but my 2001 B2500 is a big step up especially now that I got some good tires on it. Where can a person get a step that will work, I really don't want to go to running boards, but I guess I could?? Any thoughts will help. I tried JC Whitney, but none of them would seem to fit, and I really didn't want to have to install running boards full length. Thanks.

 

Have you shopped for nerf bars?

 

Yes, and so far I don't seem to find any that will mount up. To get to the frame for a solid mounting point is a long way under the van, the pick up versions that I have seen won't work. Thanks

 

In that case, your best bet might be to bring it to a welding shop and have them mount a couple of supports off the frame and out to where the nerf bars/steps would go.
