Default 1990 B250 No Spark (w/key code video)

I have a 1990 B250 that I am having a problem with no spark. I checked the center wire for spark and when there wasn't any I checked the wires coming to the coil for 12v. I am not getting 12v into the coil with the key on. I did that "key dance" code because I don't have a reader or tester for that. If I read it correctly I got:

12
33
11
55

Any help on what my next diagnostic step is is highly appreciated.

Here is a video of the codes in case I am not reading it correctly (the first three are obviously me turning the key on and off lol):

Read the ASD relay sticky at the top of this forum.

I just did. I was just going to go see if I could find it on my van .

After I made this post I did run a wire straight from the battery to the coil and the van started right up. I disconnected it right away because I only wanted to see if it would start.

So it looks like someone replaced that ASD relay with a regular relay. The mount is on the firewall, but the relay is not mounted there. Right above it, zip tied to the harness is a relay.

Maybe I will try replacing that tomorrow and post back here.

It wasn't the relay, I was really hoping it was as that was going to be an easy/cheap fix. It only has spark if I direct wire the coil (if I do that it starts right up). Maybe one of the fusible links the manual mentions is bad? I have no idea who to find that though. I know they are behind the booster but that's as far as my knowledge goes LOL.

The fusible links are where you suspect. A burnt one should stretch out, or have burnt looking insulation. But they have been known to fail without doing so.

Sorry I was away and haven't looked at the van in a couple weeks. I am going to read that link now and hopefully tomorrow spend some time tracking this down. Thanks again for the help.

I haven't posted in awhile. I kind of gave up on this van for awhile. It's just one problem after another, and I needed a break. Anyway for some reason today I hooked the coil back up and the van started right up. I have no idea why after it sat a month it got spark back. This van is possessed I think .

I had a money pit 1968 Camaro that drove me to the edge of insanity to keep it running. It was never running when I needed it and left me stranded more times than I can count. When I finally sold it 25 years ago the buyer said when we were signing the Certificate of Title "Hey, did you ever notice this?"

There was a 666 in the VIN.
