Default Help Van keeps shutting off!

I bought a 1997 15 pass. b3500 van to use for my daycare, the van keeps shutting off when I am at red lights or stop signs. It really shuts off the minute you take your foot off the gas. Any ideas of where to start?

Thanks

Ok, I have tried cleaning the IAC, but still has the same problem. Any other suggestions?

Then it might just need a tune-up. Did the previous owner give you any idea when the last one was?

The previous owner stated that they did want to invest any money in it becasue they were buying new vans for their church. So Im going to make the assumptions that it has not been tuned up in while.

So you can probably guess the next advice -- time for a tune up.

Spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap, rotor, engine oil, oil filter, air filter, PVC valve, crankcase breather & chassis/steering/driveshaft lube.

It would also be an excellent idea to check the front & rear brakes, differential oil level & transmission fluid.

Good luck with your new van.
