Hello, My camshaft position sensor is on its way out and its time to buy a new one. Here is the problem, I can't seem to find one anywhere for sale. Ive check local and online. I was hoping someone could put some light in this cave because now im searching in the dark. I am 3 weeks away from doing a 1600 mile road trip so it needs to be fairly quickly. thanks

 

The cam sensor is actually the pick-up coil inside the distributor. You didn't give a year or engine size so we can't point you to a specific part number. But it should be like this: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/rafr...&parttype=7176

 

Good point, it is a 1998 with a 3.9. I did find the appropriate part on rock auto.
