96 Ram Van NO Spark - PLEASE HELP!!!
Insert link didn't work either. I'll break it up into four strings of text. Paste each of the following lines, in order, into your browser with no spaces between them, then hit enter:

You might have to paste each of the four lines above into a text file, then paste the entire url into the browser. Pasting part of the url isn't working on IE.
Be sure and eliminate spaces and carriage returns, including spaces that might get inserted at the very end of the last of the four segments.

Now I understand what's happening. I had set my facebook securiy to "friends only." If anyone wants the powerpoint slideshow, send an email to jpbledsoe@yahoo.com . It's a 12 MB file with graphics and photographs.

I had quite an adventure with our '94 van in summer 2011. I was determined to not replace another part until I had some hard evidence. I achieved that goal. So many parts had already been replaced before I started the investigation that I assumed I'd find an intermittent wiring problem.
Our van has been running fine and has been driven about 5k miles since the PCM replacement. Hoping it has no issues on the way back from Oklahoma today.

Van is back to normal but that's not saying much.
I'm going to do the plenum repair, but thinking of making my own aluminum plate because $120 for an aluminum plate sound pretty steep to me. My van has all the symptoms of a leaky plenum, only I didn't know what was causing all the trouble. Might replace the crank sensor just because, and going to have to start replacing vacuum lines but guess I'll do a little at a time.
Best to ya,
Jim
