Default PCM internals

Has anyone on this forum ever opened a PCM? I was thinking of attempting a repair but I don't know if they're filled with resin or other material that would prevent repair of the circuits.

Thanks,

All of the PCMs in the vans I've owned over the years were indeed filled with a sort of amber colored silicone covering the components.

I guess if you had a bad solder joint on the underside you could fix that, but replacing a bad component entirely would seem to be downright impossible. Not how I would choose to spend my time anyway.
