Van won't start. Help?
Our 1990 B350 van ran one day and wouldn't start two days later. It has power and tries to turn over but just won't start. Suspecting a fuel issue, I replaced the fuel filter (it looked original). Still nothing.
Any thoughts?

Well you can see if fuel is spraying out of the fuel injectors and rule out a fuel issue, like the fuel pump, which you should be able to hear pump for a second or two if you stick you ear next to the fill tube whilst somebody else turns the key to on, not start.
If you do not hear the fuel pump, investigate the ASD relay sticky.

Spray starting fluid into the intake, then try to start the engine. If you get any life out of it then you've confirmed it's a fuel issue. If you do not get any any response, then you're looking at an ignition problem. In the second case check for spark at both the coil wire and at least one spark plug. You should have a blue spark in both locations.
Thanks for all the help. Had a friend who's a tech look at it with me and the ASD relay is good and power is going to the fuel pump, but the pump isn't making any noise when the key is turned on. Looks like we're doing a fuel pump.
