The Ram Vans from 1994-2003 use a PCM vs. an ECM. Also, the truck PCM computers do not work well with the van PCM as a swap.

I don't think it would be worth doing that, if you are going to spend that amount on a chip I think you would be better off making mechanical changes to the actual engine.

The only difference I have notice with some small changes that I have made is that you do get an increased horsepower, which makes going up hills a lot easier and more efficient, the van seems to be happy travelling 5 MPH faster on the Interstate.

I would spend the money on intakes oils and exhausts.

Also temperature seems to effect the mpg of the vehicles as well so having just gone through Winter you should see the MPG pick back up again.

Just my thoughts

I did e-mail Superchips about my 2001 5.2 1500 van and the reply was they do not have a tuner to support my van.

Sorry for slow reply, but the general upgrades for intake and exhaust are increasing flow. I.E. larger exhaust diameter, higher flow cat or air intake plumbing. These items are going to be a little harder to find with a van chassis but with some general grass roots back yard "engineering" you can adapt existing stuff. I was about to start that search myself on my 2001 5.2 1500 but ran into some basic problems that have to be addressed (stuck spark plugs!!!). When I know more I'll post what I find. Dan

Just a word about tuner availability. I contacted Superchips and Hypertech. They have no unit that supports the Dodge vans. Edge appears to be the same, as the only coverage for Dodge is for Cummins diesel apps. according to the website. I have not checked Banks yet but I don't hold out much hope.
