i was testing my high and low pressure switches with a meter for continuity and had it.. then i unplugged the thermostat, or what i believe was the t-stat, and had no continuity so i shorted the plug with a piece of wire and now my van will turn over but will not start..i checked every relay and fuse i could find and they are all fine.. any ideas would be greatly appreciated..thanks i have a 1997 Dodge Ram Van 2500

It might be helpful to know what exactly connector you shorted or what it was actually attached to. Its possible that by shorting this you may have burned out the computer.

The first thing to try is resetting the computer. Remove a battery cable, give it 5 or 10 minutes to be certain and then re-attach and see if it will start.

Great, I'm glad you got it working and happy it wasn't anything expensive.
