water pump gasket
Have 99 1500 Van. I have leak in water pump/gasket. Never have replaced gasket in van. It seems this require dis assembly of many components/parts to reach water pump.
If anyone can render info, greatly appreciated.

Disconnect the battery.
Drain the radiator, easiest done by removing the lower radiator hose from the water pump.
Remove the upper half of the fan shroud.
Using a pry bar put pressure on the water pump pulley between it and the crank and break loose the fan clutch, remove the fan and clutch assembly.
Remove the heater hose on the drivers side of the water pump.
Remove the drive belt.
Dismount the AC compressor, unplug the electrical connection and may have to unbolt the wire harness from the compressor. Move the compressor enough to get to the alternator/ac compressor bracket.
Dismount the alternator.
Remove the alternator/ac bracket
Remove the water pump.
Assembly in reverse order.
While you are in there I would suggest replacing the thermostat and upper radiator hose. May find that you will need to change the belt and tensioner along with the idler pulleys.

It's a big job and takes a good deal of time. A shop will cost you big bucks in high labor because of the time consuming work.
I've been down this road last year. Took my time of nearly 10 hours. The job isn't bad, just disassemble and reassemble. No fancy stuff either.
If you need further help, I had posted a while back some of the things to expect. Do a search under my user name and the term radiator.
