No Bus
Hey All, 2002 Ram Van 1500 5.2L died going down the road. Got the No Bus code in the odometer. Scan tool says no link. Cleaned connections to ECM and get same results. Question, do you think new ECM is in order?
Thanks, Tom

In most cases the PCM died. Since you have tried cleaning the connections have you also checked the PCM fuse? If it is good then replace the PCM. Also check the wire loom for any areas that might have frayed and damaged the wiring, if you find anything repair it.
I have a 2003 dodge ram van 2500. I was driving yesterday and it just died on me. Now no bus is showing in the odometer and none of the gauges are moving. When I try to start it it will go in the start position and rev up but it wont start any suggestions?

Either buy a used one from a junkyard, eBay, or have your's sent out for repair. In any of these cases reflashing will not be necessary.

PCM Update: Took my PCM to Auto Zone where they were to send it off and have it rebuilt as there were no Re-Mans available due to lack of cores? Anyway, got it back in week with 1 year warranty from Blue Streak. Before installing I cleaned and re-seated ground straps at: battery to engine block, engine block to body, and a couple more ground straps I found under the hood. I then sprayed PCM connectors with electric motor cleaner, blew them out with air and sprayed light coating of silicon on/in each plug before connecting. Hook up battery terminals, went through the 'relearn' key cycles, crossed everything I have two of and turned the key. She started up on the first try and runs good (better than before). So far, no codes popping so maybe I got it! Thanks for all your suggestions and help with this everyone. It really does help to read and think about what other have done and are doing.
