Does the pcm need to be bolted to the vehicle in order for it to make a connection and will a pcm from a 2003 dodge durango work for a 2003 dodge ram van?

I will work if it has the same motor -- but you will not have a speedometer, or any other gauges. Also all your idiot lights will come on. I had to do that just to get home from Daytona one day.

The van will still run though LOL. You need to have the PCM programmed with your specific PCM model number and your VIN number for it to work correctly.

 

You need to match the PCM numbers from each one exactly.
