2002 Dodge Ram Van 3500 rear door panel
Hi folks,
I decided to change out the rear door on my 2002 Dodge Ram 3500 Van since it was sagging on the hinges and not closing right. It's the single barn door style. Some one tried to do a cheap weld job on the cracks near the hinge but it didn't work. Everything went smooth until I realized my old key won't work. My 2 questions are is it possible to change out the old lock and if so, how do I remove the handle plastics. This may seem like a newb question but I can't for the life of me wiggle them out. They seem to be molded in without any screws. The rest of the panel just unpops. See photos.

I found a solution to the problem. Since the panel was unpopped enough, I was able to get my hand up one of the holes of the door and release a catch bracket and plastic assembly that held the existing lock in place. The lock then just slid out of its hole and I replaced it with the good one. Easy. I'm still perplexed on that door handle plastic...
