Default Question about top steering column trim piece...and bottom

Hi all...good morning.

I am going to put int he ignition switch today. I have looked at it and see the bottom cover has a couple of screws, but to top I can't seem to find any. Does the top just pop off or is there hidden screws?

thanks!

There should be one on the bottom exposed, the other 2 are down (up) in some holes. Yes, once they're out it's a snap together type of thing. Grab the back edge of the top piece and slowly, but firmly pull upwards. The fasteners that are TORX are 20s. Some are philips, but I can never predict for sure they change it back and forth so often...lol

The job when well and was straightforward. All Torx bits and no problems getting them out.

I can really tell now that the old ignition switch was worn out. I actually have clicks between OFF ACC RUN START now. The old switch was very sloppy.

Thanks for the help!
