Motor mounts
Hello,
My garage tells me I need 2 new motor mounts to the tune of about $30 apiece (parts from the Dodge dealership, I''m sure) for my 2000 B3500.
(And about 2 1/2 hours labor charge.)
Autozone has motor mounts for about $8.00 apiece.
Other than the $$, what's the difference ?
tnx

One thing to take in consideration is the heat shield position when re-installing the new motor mounts as it does make a difference, just keep a mental picture of the position before you take the old one out and you will be fine!
By the way the mounts were stamped "Made in Brazil" biggest producer of rubber in the world.
Sparkzz, I bought the motor mounts from Checkers/O'reillys about 2 years ago for almost $8 so, slightly more expensive, possibly better quality?LOL, installed them myself and drove on them almost 100K miles so far so good with no problems or separation as of last inspection.
I used to drive them until September 2012 when I closed the shuttle service, about 440 miles round trip from Tucson to Rocky Point/Puerto, Mexico now I just drive mainly in town only
Hey *******, seeing as how I posted in this thread I'll assume you're referring to me. That being the case, I was being totally serious at being shocked because I've never heard of someone driving one of these vans 50,000 miles a year.
Just exactly how does 'adult talk' fit in with referring to everyone here as jerks?
Throwing around more insults along with being condescending, all the while claiming to be apologetic; does nothing but make your words ring hollow and demonstrate a sever lack of maturity.
