Just thrilled to report......
By changing out plugs, wires, rotor, cap(brass), pickup coil, I managed to increase the mpg from about 12, to 14 on my old 94 extended B250, 5.2L, 3 speed with 220,000 miles.
That pressure thingy on the front of the throttle body will be next.
I think that's pretty significant !

That thing could it be the IAC (Idle Air Control) or it could be the MAP sensor?
Congrats on the 2mpg increse

There are methods to improve the MPG above the OEM level the van is capable of. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/dodge-r...rovements.html
That is a MAP sensor...I changed mine and got a little better mileage.
I do have to add that I can't make heads or tails of MPG anymore with my van and truck...the ethanol content seems to be different from station to station.
Somtimes I get 11 with my truck, sometimes 13-14, sometimes 9. I have the same thing going on with the van. Also my Kia sometimes exhibits this behavior - 20-22-18-20...all of my vehicles are all over the map
