Default 1997 B2500 3.9L Radiator Capacity

New to the boards, I drive a '97 B2500 3.9L, cross-country playing music.
My band is heading out across New England at the end of the month and I need to do a radiator flush. Was curious what the capacity of the radiator was (in quarts), don't have a manual on hand unfortunately.

Thanks!

About 15 quarts if you can get every drop of coolant out. The two times I change mine though (5.2L) I put in just over 8 quarts of new coolant.

Plus a quart or two for the overflow bottle. I always remove that and clean it out because of the debris that can accumulate at the bottom.

The way to "get every drop of coolant out" is to remove one of the threaded plugs in the bottom end of the engine. If you look near the motor mount (I can't remember which side) you will see it. Unscrew the plug and the bottom end will drain of coolant. Sometimes a bit of crud collects in the plug area and you need to insert a small screwdriver to clear out the hole after removing the plug. Wear your safety glasses! And keep your mouth closed!

Ripped through this today, thanks everyone for the quick replies. Managed to keep my eyes clean but the wind here in PA blew some coolant straight at my mouth. Oh well!
