Default Keeps dieing.

1995 2500 conversion van.5.9. Its not my 1st post but it has been a few years as the vans been running great until now.

When I started the van after picking the kids up at school yesterday the van started but ran real rough for 10 seconds or so then cleared up. Drove another 8 miles or so and stopped and the van started fine. Made it another 200 yards and it started to run rough again at a stop light just like when I had left the school and died. Wouldnt restart. About 20 minutes later it started fine sounded normal. Made it 100' and it died again. About 1hr later it started again and ran fine. Ran normal for about 15 minutes 10 or so miles and died again. Left it on the side of the road and came back 3 hrs later to tow it home and it started and ran fine all the way home. 7 miles or so. Shut it down and now it starts and runs just fine sitting in my driveway.
Anybody got any ideas?

Sounds like a bad spark plug or wire.

If it quits only when fuel is below half a tank then I think your fuel pump is on its way out. Replace it sooner rather than later as it will leave you stranded at some point.
Thanks for the reply.
Replaced the ignition coil and 80 miles later all seems good.

Got about 200 miles on the new coil and she died again. Was able to beat on the tank and get it started again and into the garage.

Oh Fun! Looks like Im replacing the fuel pump tonight.

Im pretty sure it was the fuel pump.
It died trying to get it out of my driveway in 8'' of snow. I tested for fuel pressure and had nothing. Could get it to stumble with starting fluid. Beat on the tank with sledge and she started right up.
Replaced the fuel pump and all seems good. Put a 100 miles on her the next morning. Fuel gauge is working again and starts right up without bumping the key.
