Default the dreaded no bus

Tried to start the van a little while ago and it turns over fine but doesn't start. After few tries I noticed the no bus briefly in the odometer window. After some research on this forum I tried removing the negative batt wire and turning the key on and waiting 10 minutes with no change. I pulled the connectors to the pcm but don't have the recommended CRC spray, will WD-40 do? Don't have a meter to check the ASD fuse but will get one if it's necessary. Any other suggestions before I buy a new pcm? It's a 2001 by the way. Thanks in advance.

No, do not use WD-40 on electrical connections.

Also check the fuse that powers the PCM before replacing the computer.

Thanks for the help guys. Went ahead and ordered a new pcm and just installed it and it works fine. The brick is back on the road!
