Default Doge Ram Van makes a noise.

Hi All I have A 1998 Dodge Ram Conversion van that makes noise when I turn it on in a gear. It is an automatic but when I shift it to Drive or Reverse it make a gurgling sound, then when I put it in park it stops. It runs great it only has 70,000 original miles on it.

Should I be concerned?

Thanks

Have you checked all the fluid levels in the vehicle? Transmission fluid or even the coolant may be low and need refilled.

Yes that is not the issue. It makes a gurgling rocking noise. I had the oil changed and all that the other day and had them check all the fluids and stuff and tire pressure so I know it is not that.

Typically, the gurgling noise is when there is tooooo much fluid in the tranny and the fluid is heating up gurgling up the dip-stick tube.

Check the tranny fluid hot and the PRND21 in neutral with the ebrake on (or someone holing the brake pedal down). Check the hot reading on the dip-cap.

To lower an overfill, wait until the engine and tranny has cooled down at least 6-hours. Then use a siphon bulb and hose in the dip-stick tube.

If your fluid is too low, the tranny cooler to the RAD may be gurgling.

No to all the above fluids are all good. When I turn on the engine IN park it gurgle pounds, then I put it in Neutral the same thing but in park it sounds fine. When I drive it and warm it up it stops.

Check for vacuum leaks and have you cleaned the IAC motor and port?

Not convinced they correctly checked all the fluids and stuff. If it was a Jiffy-Lube kind of place, you might take it to a real mechanic for help. You also might try and check them yourself.
