1992 b250 failed Ca. smog at 15mph
Congrats on passing, without a new catcon.
Dist cap rotor, wires and plugs are normal tune up items. I think we all assumed you had already replaced those.
Do note that if you got a distributor cap with aluminum contacts, you will be replacing it within 10k miles. Pay the extra for Brass.
Make sure the SP wires cannot touch each other or anything grounded when the doghouse is returned, and they might last longer than 2 years, but they really bake in the concentrated radiated and convected heat under the doghouse and go bad quickly.
Also, reports exist of even name brand wires causing misfires out of the box.

I did check the plugs they looked alright, wires good. I didn't check cap, It was worn with
carbon. dont worry the contacts are brass U.S.A. on cap. I don't like using junk ,replaced the plugs too because Dodge uses cheap champions and still runs great . Not like my 95 impala ss ac delco at 4 X the price

You can't look at sp wires and declare them good. Many misfires are continued by that method, and the "they are only 6 months old and therefore must still be good" theory
I had some pristine looking accels light up like a bug zapper at night when sprayed with water. Amazing how much better it ran when replaced.
Keep them from touching each other or anything grounded when the engine cover presses them back down and they will last longer being baked in the oven.
