Hi I have a humming noise coming from the back, some of my friends say is the rear differential, does anybody know how to fix it, and if hard to do. Any place were I can see pictures on how to do it. I had my van since new is got almost 200 thousand . I would appreciate any help.

The first step is to stick your finger into it and see what your oil looks like. Please get back to us and describe what you find.

This noise can just as easily be the front wheel bearings. Even if it sounds like the noise comes from the back doesn't mean it really is.

 

When's the last time you had the fluid changed? That stuff really doesn't last forever.
