It looks like most of the damage is contained to that one dented door? If it was worth the effort for you, you can replace that door and then get a new paint job. Things might start looking a bit better from there.

Hey, not bad on the lighting.

A couple of things I still need to do:

1) Valve cover gaskets, as mentioned before. While I'm there, I need to clean those old valve covers, they're a bit nasty after 15 years.
2) Drop the transmission pan and replace the fluid (ATF+4), the gasket and the filter.
3) I'm still not happy with my old power side battery terminal. I have several power wires going to an original terminal that needs to be replaced.

Other than some simple things that I need to get done, the van runs really great and strong. Pictures to come, eventually.

Unfortunately there's more than that. While that's most of the body damage (rust is surprisingly not much of an issue), its got other problems. It broke down again, same problem, bringing the repair costs to $725 so far, and hopefully its fixed this time. As near as i can tell this should have a TBI engine, but instead has an MPI which has issues. Oh, and mileage is unknown. I'm thinking about getting that $550 van if its still available next month, and building it over time before putting it into service, i'm thinking a high roof conversion along with some interior and lighting upgrades.

I did one valve cover gasket this weekend.

And cleaned up the valve cover itself.

Here's the other side still filthy that needs to be done next week. You can see how much nicer one looks compared to the one that hasn't been touched.

It took me about 2 hours to completely do one side, that was enough for one day.

Here's a few shots of the outside of mine:

You should get that Turtle Wax Trim Restorer for your bumpers!! I just used it on my front and rear bumpers, all the door handles, etc. Really cleans up the look of these pretty ladies!!

Definitely. I put some Armor All on the exterior plastic a while back, but it only lasted a day or so. I need to find something more permanent.
