Ram Van pictures
Yes, I'm going to move the van or get that sprinkler disabled. Surprisingly, my van is 95% rust free (from what I've seen so far). Besides a tiny spot on the roof, the area under the plastic step on the passenger side, and a small amount of rust in the engine compartment, there is nothing else to really speak of. Hopefully I don't run into any more when I start digging in some other areas that I haven't looked at yet.

Nice looking van. My only regret is that I wish I would have found a nice van with all of the extra head room as yours has, but oh well. Maybe something can be worked out later on down the road.
Hi All, New the Van Forums. Just got a 02 B1500 custom by JAG Conversions. I got this after selling my 2011 F350 DRW 4x4 so I could invest in equipment for my business and home. I only owned 1 other Dodge and it was a lifted 96 Dakota V8 way back when.
I grew up with vans and so this wasn't anything uncommon to me but was a real shocker that I A. Bought a Dodge and B Bought a "bling hay look at me" kinda vehicle when I'm the guy that drives around in mostly non-awesome looking stuff.
Anyway I got this as it had only 2 owners (both over the age of 50), has only 88k miles on it, looked clean and didn't have any rust under it (In WI that is amazing and HAD to be garaged in winter for that to happen). I didn't inspect it carefully enough when I got it but the tires were shot on both sets of rims, AC didn't work (tested it on a zero degree day with no humidity so total dummy mistake) and a few other cracks and stuff on inside plastic but I'm not worried about it. Again, it was a rust free 88k mile van I got for a good price so eh... whatever.
Now I have to try and tow my trailer with it and I'm seeing that it can do it but mmm I have a feeling I'm going to wreck something (4k lb 24' v nose enclosed) so I may get a smaller trailer for this vehicle or wait till I get another truck... I dono..
The rubber on these rubberbands were shot.. will likely just sell these rims.

The tires on the stock rims were bad too so being it is winter I got some Blizzak winter tires on here now.

I bet nothing was done to this vehicle and it didn't even come with an owners manual. So picking one of those up and will be starting to do the maintenance and trailer add ons.

I got a 97 1 ton B3500 Dodge Maxi Van thats been converted to 4 wheel drive by Quigley.

This was a $50,000 van when new but I paid $2800 for it.
It had four rows of seats behind the drivers seats, but I took them all out to haul motorcycles, tools and building materials.
Its got a 5.9L 360 V8 and the overdrive transmission.
Its got a Dana 70 in back on heavy leafs and a Dana 44 up front on coils with Quigley 4 link setup running 4.10 posi gears.
Its the SLT package so it s loaded with front and rear air and heat, tilt wheel, tow package, electric windows and door locks, premium am/fm/cassette with equalizer, power drivers seat, all wheel ABS, cruise control, and aluminum running boards.
All that stuff still works too.
To get it through inspection I had to replace the front calipers and pads, the soft brake lines up front, had to weld up a broken exhaust hanger, replace a taillight and a few bulbs, and had to replace the ABS distribution block and solenoids. Since its been on the road I have had to replace an alternator and a serpentine belt and get a refurbished ECM. Other than that, its been a pretty good ride.
It had stock size wheels when I got it, but I put some 33x12.50-16.5's on some chrome steel wheels. I had to trim up the bumpers and do a little surgery on the running boards to get the wheels to turn without scraping.
Its got a little rust and a pretty good dent in the sliding door, but I'm pretty experienced at body work and they are nothing I can't handle.
Its no show winner but its a tough heavy duty truck.
I live up on the side of a mountain, so I really need this 4 wheel drive just to get out of my 1/4 mile long driveway. The mileage isn't too great, but I haven't found anything I couldn't haul yet. I towed a 68 Chevy pickup on a 20' trailer to Pittsburg and back to Frederick, Md without the slightest problem. I've hauled an entire deck 16'x16' deck package including framing, decking, stairs and railings. I can get 13' boards in it with the back door closed.
I'd like to eventually put a turtle top on it, install off-road bumpers and put a winch on it, install a dual battery system and shoot on a coat of decent paint.
The engine has 168,000 miles on it and it burns a little oil, but still pulls real strong. I'd like to drop an even more powerful engine in there when this one finally dies.
It ain't pretty, but does what I need it to do.
