Default 2001 Ram 3500 van lift

Hello all. I'm new to the forum...... I'll get right to the point.for the past few days I've been searching the web for a lift kit for my 2001 3500 ram van 5.9l 2wd. I want to raise it up 3" in the front and 2" in the back. does anyone make kits for my van? thanks in advance for any help.

The rear is easy, you can just install 2" lift blocks and u-bolts that are 2" longer. For the front you need coil spring spacers and I don't know if you're going to find 3" ones. For the front you're better off measuring the various dimensions of the springs and finding 3" taller ones.

You can use the same shocks, you'll just need 3" extensions for the tops of them. The rears can absorb the extra 2" but 3" is pushing it for the fronts.

I would think a local spring shop (if there is one) is the answer, shops custom make springs for very little money prices are surprisingly reasonable.

Also one question to you, since you are raising the center of gravity significantly do you not desire stiffer then stock springs? (for better body control) A spring shop may or may not be a worth investigating.

Good luck either way.

Depending on how many leafs you have on the rear, you could probably just buy the larger replacement springs from SD Truck Springs, to get the lift you want.

I just got a 3.5" lift on the rear even through I didn't want it! I went from the "quasi custom 4/1 leafs on my Dodge Glaval Conversion Van" to the dodge oem replacement 5/1 leaf from SD Truck Springs... they have 6/1 HD's as well.

I'm trying to figure out what to do about the fronts now as well... as I'm kinda hoping to get the rear lowered back down to only about a 2" lift - and then raise the front to 2" lift. (32" from ground to wheel well )

Right now I'm 30" in the front and 33.5" in the rear.
