Default My van thinks it's a bronco

I have a 2000 ram van 1500 5.2. 150,000 miles. When driving between 35 and 50 mph engine bucks and chugs hard. Engine light not on. Could someone please help? Thanks

I have a 2000, 5.2 with 109,000 miles on it. It was hesitating and cutting out when warm. I did tune-up, plugs, wires, coil, distrib cap & rotor to no avail. I was getting ready to check fuel pressure for possible fuel pump problems. I installed an upstream oxygen sensor(NTK)and it runs like a new van. I wasn't aware that the oxygen sensor would cause that many problems. It was an easy fix.

I had the same problem with my 1994, changed out all kinda parts, that were needed, like tune up stuff. In the end it turned out to be a sticky kickdown cable. After a bunch of wd40 and working it to make sure it moves freely. I drove around with the doghouse off adjusting kick down one click at a time untill it stoped all the bucking . Van now run and shifts perfect. Also a good idea is to check wire harness on motor for wires rubbed thru, found a few of those.
