Default Front Brakes

I have 96 D2500 Van with Anti-Lock Brakes. My problem started with left wheel getting hot. Believe it melted bead. Changed to spare and every think OK. Then right wheel started going click click click. Would stop noise when brakes applied. Took off wheel and caliper. Signs of heat. May have sticking piston. Trying to get it out now. Are there any adjustments to Anti-Lock brakes that will stop or allow caliper from releasing all the way?

That a bad wheel bearing.

Negative not a bad bearing. After taking wheel off I could turn rotor and hear muted click at same spot. After removing caliper no noise. Turning left or right before had no effect. Rubber seals on piston are melted away.

Piston stuck in caliper. Can't beat in or pull it out. Heat damage.

#1 rule ... When replacing pads, caliper, or brake hose on one side, replace the same part on the other side.

This way, you know things will track well when cruising the road or when braking.

the rubber front brake lines deteriorate and collapse internally holding pressure on the caliper pistons... replace both front brake lines, the rubber ones that go to the wheels from the frame

check rockauto.com
Dodge
year, model
brakes
hydraulic hose
about $10 each

I question why not replace the bearings along with the calipers as Alloro suggested the cost is almost nothing and then you can be pretty sure you won't have too pull the wheels off again.

sounds good. I did the callipers multiple times before I changed the hoses.

Also…get some new banjo bolts that fit. For some reason the pass side on mine did not fit well.
