Frame rust repair

You may may have a good plan there. Have you considered finding a southern van and use your current one as a donor? I also wanted to add that my LWB Chevy frame is solid NO rot or even surface rust, sad Dodge drop the ball and I am a MOPAR man. When it is time for my next B van and I will have another it will be a southern van preferably from the arid desert where there are no corrosion concerns.

After spending 2 weeks outside of Phoenix and driving the back roads I did see a few vans. I don't think some of those owners have the capability of posting something online. Many people live in the middle of the desert with old cars all around their trailer. The difficult part is locating vans as you have mentioned but they are out there.

Good luck finding one here in the south. I'm actively looking on a regular basis. Even if there is a van in great shape and the engine isn't running. It is SLIM pickings here in the south. I got NC, SC, GA, KY, AL, and TN all being monitored with email updates too when something pops up to those regions. Now, the southwest and such could have a few too. Of course my price range is under $3K and it has to be a 1998 or newer.
