Thats great, I hope you are The factory rates the 3.9 at 175hp. With the modifications I've done, on paper I'm close to 285hp. My generic ODBCII reader says its more like 265 - 270hp. I don't really trust either of these and would love to have access to a chassis dyno. Unfortunately even if I could find one of those old Andy Granatelli tuneup shops that had chassis dynos they top out at 200hp. My 429 T-bird was around 300hp and my Cougar's 351 Cleveland was far more but never could actually verify either. Have to just be happy with running those 454 chevelles, one 440 dodge charger and a couple of supercharged firebirds off the road . That thing (351c) would do 110 in 2nd up a 40 degree hill, no lie.

Truth be told, on the street from stoplight to stoplight: torque - not hp- is king. And of course the heavier the vehicle the more this is true. The cars/incidents I refer to occurred in the past and were on open highway in the middle of nowhere well over 70mph.
