Does the 1994 Ram B350 have a full frame?
I just bought a 1994 Roadtrek 190 Independent class B motorhome on a Ram350 chassis and was told it is can't tow much because it's a unibody. This seems a little odd to me, it has a 7484 lb GVWR. Thanx
You can get a hitch for this van and the install should be OK as long as you do not have a trunk installed under the rear of the van. My 1991 Dodge has a "frame" but its welded to the body. You could never replace the frame so they are sort of a unibody.

Thanx for the reply Steve, I was wondering if the regular B-350 van is different from the Roadtrek van. The owner's manual for the Ram van says with a 390 gear it can tow an 8500 lb trailer. The Roadtrek I have can't tow very much.
The Roadtrek's are pretty heavy. Both my 1991 and my parents 2004 are overweight on the front axles when they are loaded with fresh water.
I would take it to the scales when they aren't manned to see where you are at for weights on each axle and combined.

The GVWR on the door post is 7485 lbs
It weighs 6534 lbs with full fuel, empty tanks & no driver, propane or supplies.
This appears to leave me with a useful load of 951 lbs.
Since the 3 of us weigh about 375 lbs, we can only add another 576 lbs before we exceed the GVWR?? Ouch! Does this sound right?
