blackvan and alloro have helped me tremendously in my previous thread and I agree that the ECC could be my problem.

I am on the road, but will be in one place for the next 12 days.

I am looking for a replacement ECC for my 2001 2500 van with 5.2 liter.

Can someone that has faced this recently give me a specific recomendation as to who I can order from online and what the part number is?

Do these replacement ECC modules have to be flashed or anything that I need a dealer for? I am near Apalachicola and dealerships are few and far between in this area... which I like except for NOW!

Yes, when you get them from eBay, they flash it with your info

I swear, they all come out of FL. What is funny, is that if you go to the dealership, they charge you $800, and it is special order.... from Florida.....

 

Only if it's a brand new one. A used one is already flashed and will work as long as the numbers match.

 

I just called allcomputerresources, gave them the part number of the PCM off of mine, along with mileage on the van and they sent me one ready to go.

 

Funny how that works

 

I called this AM and ordered from allcomputerresources.com , hopefully have it by Thursday...

I am very mellow, but you repeatedly said that your computer wasn't available and refused to even entertain looking.... I can't help you if you wont help yourself.....

I was in the military for over 5 years, and I wont put up with people that repeatedly refuse to listen.... even after EVERYONE here helped you out
