Hello!

Today when i was taking a ride with my wonderful 1988 B250 Van, suddenly this lamp that i show in the picture started flashing red. It flashed about 5-10 minutes, then i stopped the car for a while, and tried to read about this in the haynes manual, but did not find my answer.
It stopped flashing for a while, and later on the day it came back.

Can anyone please tell me what this flashing light is for, and what it tries to tell me?

Its only a round red light with no text on it. --> see picture

Looks aftermarket. Trace the wires to see where it goes. How long have you had the van?

 

my van is a 96, and I have the same hvac pod like that, but don't have the light next to the cig lighter.....

definitely looks aftermarket though, that is a huge LED or maybe even an actual bulb in it

 

I agree that IT looks aftermarket ! I Will trace The wires tomorow, its disturbing to have flashing light and no Idea what it says!.

 

Maybe an Old aftermarket immobiliser system Or something? Will trace The wires
