Default Nice knowing ya Ram Van

Well, my green whale is now officially sold.

Got a new set of HEMI wheels to replace her.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the new truck but I actually went the opposite way. I sold my 2005 Ram 1500 when I got the 1991 B250 Roadtrek.
Just be sure to take care around those rear wheel arches by flushing the stiffeners regularly. If you follow them around with your hand you will feel the little holes you need to hose out.

I have an 06 GC with the Hemi - love the power, gas mileage not so much

We love it. I see you van had cancer - that is sad to see. It was probably time to move on...

Nice truck!

Well, the guy who got the van replaced the bald front tires, water pump, fixed the AC, replaced the front shocks, and plans on surface sand'ering the roof for a quasi repaint as slight shade darker than the original green.

Other than the cancer below, he will have a nice van to boot around in.

Yes, the 5.2L does get better MPG than the 5.7L Hemi. I've yet to get the 16 spark plugs for the HEMI and a new air filter. Maybe it will help mpg more.

I got a 1.5MPG increase when I changed the plugs. They were in there for 75k miles. It was time to get them out.

Hey, I notice you have a Jeep GC 5.7 Hemi. Have you done the TB ground mod? Been reading about it and the success people are having.

Read it all here.

Basically get a good gauge wire like 12 or 14, strap it to one of the bolts on the TB and one to the vehicle body ground. The longer the wire travel to the ground, the better gauge wire size you need.

It evens out the idle, improves the shifting, better pedal response and helps 2 or 3 mpg hwy.
