Tire pressure question
On the sticker inside of driver side door of my 2002 ram van 2500, the proper tire pressure is listed as, 344 kpa/50 psi for the front and 448 kpa/65 psi for the rear! This seems ...excessive, to say the least.

My '01 2500 says the same... D load range tires and a loaded van will need that kind of pressure... I switched to E load range because I tow a 5000# travel trailer and want the stiffer sidewalls E tires gives me... I run 65 front and 75 rear... I rotate about every 10,000 miles and after 45,000 miles so far, I am on track to get 90,000+ miles on my Goodyear Wrangler tires.
If you run empty all the time you might drop 10# on each tire for a softer ride... but, watch your tread wear and rotate your tires and you will find what pressure works best for you.

What is the Max. PSI listed on your tires?
