Default B2500 frame question??

I have a 1995 B2500 Convo van and I am wondering is the frame a truck 1500 frame?? Does it use truck frame and suspension parts??

Thanks Doc.

My 1995 van has a full frame under it, that runs from bumper to bumper. This is what leads me to think that it could have or use truck suspension parts??

Most MFG try there best to use in-stock parts to build the next item on there build list to save money and cost.

Our vans are actually have a hybrid frame. It is both unibody and framed and it is unique to the B-series vans.

Well now don't that beat all... As I looked at it I was thinking, Self that is a weird looking full frame. Now I know the truth...

But does it take truck suspension parts as well or are the unique to themselves??

Why would you assume Ram PU suspension would be identical to a Ram Van?
A B Van likely has a 1000 lbs heavier curb weight and the front axle carries more weight than a PU.

Still not sure why your curious but you can always contact a salvage yard or dealer and they can compare part numbers and tell you which parts are interchangeable.

I had a 94 B250 and it used B250 suspension parts, however I now have an '01 B2500 that uses 3500 parts when dealing with suspension parts. Don't know why, but when ordering parts only 3500 parts will fit.

yes I do... and load range E tires

I think van started out as a 3500, but they only put a 5.2 in it... with 4.10 gears so maybe downgraded to 2500

Would think a 5.2 is adequate even for a 3500.
