I'm new to this forum. I have a 94 van b 250, 318 engine automatic . I m having a problem. It starts always, then when warms up it runs to rich and dies. I've replaced the map and the idle control , cleaned the cool air temp sensor and throttle body. I have to floor gas pedal to start when it dies. When I put it in forward or reverse it dies. I don't think it's the intake gasket leaking because it randomly runs great"." Can the transmission somehow be causing this. There are no codes flashing.

Unplug the O2 sensor, and see if the problem goes away.

Welcome to DF!

Do you have a crankshaft position sensor?
