Are the plenums on the 1994 Dodge Ram vans known for rotting?

All the plenums are the same for them magnum 5.2-5.9 doesn't matter what they are in. The magnum started in 93.

from what I've gathered reading through plenum threads the guys seem to agree on that it's not a matter of if, but "when" the gasket will leak

There was a poll on another forum i'm on when did you replace your plenum gasket. If memory serves me it was around (most responses) 130K. And they don't rot they come apart from the intake and leak. See the pics in the link...

at one point I had a similar problem in a dodge ram truck of the same year... then it just died and left me sitting on the side of the road. after digging around a lot it turned out to be one of the relays... a similar problem happened again a year or so ago and it was the same thing. I think I read they can get get hot, stop working or stick, etc... and sometimes will free up after cooling off, sometimes just be dead. there are several of the same relay so you can check it by swapping them around and losing the horns... (at least on the truck, I'm pretty sure my van has a similar set up)
