There's a lever operated vent in the footwell of my van, and somehow the lever broke off, I was able to close it, but I want to fix it. I can't find anything about it, does anyone know what they are officially called, or how I could fix it?

 

It's part of the Ram-Air ventilation system (forced air). On vans without A/C there is a door on both the driver and the passenger sides - with A/C there is only a driver's side vent. The lever broke off of mine and I was able to get a replacement at the junk yard. There are something like 4 screws that hold it onto the interior. Once it's off, you'll see that it's a simple door that slides back and forth in a larger housing. If you can't find a replacement, you should be able to find a way to glue something onto it where the tab broke off. Hope this helps.
