.......I would bet money that you would have a very hard time finding anyone to rebuild a carb for you these days. Most techs would just look at you like you had grown a second head, "Whats a 'thermoquad'?????"........
That's the problem these days. There are no mechanics left, just techs, parts replacers but no tuners.

Yeah, that's a trend that started back in the 90's, when more and more of the engine management went electronic....... Now, there is more computer power in one car, than a typical gaming computer...... Thinks have gotten so complex, that 'troubleshooting' seems to be a lost art. Now its just read the code, replace the part... and when that doesn't fix it, they call tech support, and they tell them to replace some other part..... and they just keep throwing parts at it, till its fixed. If its under warranty, that's fine. If the customer has to pay for it..... it can get REAL expensive REAL fast.

Compared to my 77s, I have already been having second thoughts on having acquired a '94 B250 in spite of having only 65k miles on it.

You probably could find one at a Chrysler/Dodge dealer service department(if you looked around) if he is at least 50 years old or more. Guess they don't teach this kind of stuff any more because it's a dead technology compared to what's out today.
Man, thanks for continuing the discussion. I ordered a Canadian-rebuilt Thermoquad from Rock Auto, new ignition coil, fuel filter, and brake booster two days ago, it all arrived yesterday and I got it installed last night. It turned over on the second crank! No adjustment of the carb at all. I will dial mixture in tomorrow in the daylight.
This is also the first time I have braked it with power assisted brakes!! It's finally fun to drive, not a terrifying thrill ride.
24,000 miles on the 440 7.2 Dodge, no emissions stuff. Purred like a lion!
Sunny Seattle Sunshine.
Before adjusting the carb allow the motor to fully warm up and take her down the road a bit. You want everything road-warm. And check timing prior to changing the carb settings.
