I have a 1985 Dodge Frontier campervan . It will only fire when I move the distributor clockwise about 1/4 ", it will not run in this position , I then turn it anticlockwise to the original position and it runs fine , any ideas on what is wrong ? Thanks for any help .

 

Most likely the timing chain is worn and jumped a tooth.
