Default 1991 dodge b250 van bed

I have a 1981 dodge ram van, b250 with four captains chairs and a rear bed that folds down. Recently while working on it I folded the bed up to the seating position and now it won't go back down. Is there a latch or some kind of release that I need to activate, And where is it located ? Thanks Joe

Probably, is it a stock seat? Or is it a conversion van?

How did you fold it up in the first place? Was there a switch that activated an electric motor?

For my '92 B250 conversion van, the rear seat looks stock. It is stuck in the down position, and will not go up.

On my van, there are two switches - one moves the whole bed front to back. That motor works perfect.
The second switch is supposed to lift the rear of the bed up and down. I can hear that the motor is trying to turn, but is not turning.
I looked the the mechanism, and there is no catch or latch. It is simply a motor that turns a gear that moves a threaded shaft.
I have found a replacement motor, but have not purchased it yet.

I am curious about your van, before I purchase this motor.
