Default Transmission mount missing? '92 B250 5.9L

I had my van inspected by a Firestone garage, and they said a trans mount is missing, that the trans is crooked, and so is the driveshaft.

See attachment for photo.

I can see where there is nothing mounted to two holes near the driveshaft, but is this normal? If not, it looks like it is missing the attachment arms up to the frame too.

Wow! And yep, looks like you're missing the whole bracket and mount. Wonder how the heck that came up missing... I have a '99, but you should have something similar to this photo from mine...

Hmmm, look at both photos again. I do have the same "whole bracket & mount" you do.

I am refering to the two empty holes in my photo, near the driveshaft. You do not have a brace at all there, which leads me to believe I am OK

Ahhh! I see yours and the difference better now on the laptop rather than cell phone! Apologies, thought to try to be helpful. After another look at mine tonight at the 2 hole location in question on yours, mine has one bolt hole. It has a bracket n hanger attached to support the exhaust pipe, that's it. Not the same transmissions but if you'd like I'll load a pic of that for you tomorrow.

So... what do you make of the firestone claim of the transmission and driveshaft being crooked?? What reason brought you there to begin with if I may ask?

Jim

Those are different mounting holes for a different application...you're fine.

@JFloors
I usually do my own work, but I can not do an alignment.

I do not trust Firestone, but I'd thought I'd ask the forum here.

I changed the radiator recently, and they said I needed a coolant flush, and the coolant is 200 miles old!

They said that the front end was so jacked up (tie rod, wheel bearing, ball joints, radius arm (what is that??)) that the van could not be aligned, and the bill would be $2,900!

Pass. I left there, and they didn't charge me for their "unbiased" inspection.
