Default 46re Torque converter ID problem

My torque converter has started slipping in my 1997 dodge ram conversion van. 318 200k 2500.
I have it out BUT CANNOT find a replacement.
131 tooth gear.
23 splines
4 mount points on 10 inch centers.
has the large notch in the tube that goes into the transmission.

Dodge dealer says it was built with a R4736595ac torque converter....
CANNOT FIND a cross over number
Oreilly offers three for a 1997 46re.....
CR92 but it has 24 splines
CR66 but it has 24 splines
CR94 but it has the narrow slots.
and 1996 CR63 but has the narrow slots....

I determined that it was a 46re by the shape of the pan gasket....

Reason I think the torque converter is bad is... It starts slipping.. Sounds like I run over a rumble strip... Goes away when I let off the gas.. ALSO If I push the "TOW" button that disengages the lock up, There are never any of these "rumble strips".

Label under the hood says "STD Duty 4spd auto trans" CODE DGB
second line reads "4 speed auto trans - chr" CODE DGT
Third line reads "CB torque converter" CODE DHA

Kicking my but and a VERY GOOD Parts Guy at Oreilly
BTW, Im assuming it has its original Transmission....

any help would be appreciated..

Pushing the tow button disables overdrive, you still get tcc.

Are you sure you didn't miscount splines?

what is TCC ???

it is my understanding that the overdrive aspect of the 4 speed transmission is the lock up torque converter. IE No lock up, no overdrive..

Lockup and overdrive are two entirely separate issues. Even the three speeds had TCC. (torque converter clutch). They made the three speeds into four speeds by adding on the o/d assembly to the back of the trans.

You will still get converter clutch lockup in tow/haul mode. What you don't get is overdrive. 3rd gear is 1:1, O/D is .69:1..... If you can't induce the noise in tow haul mode, I would suspect the overdrive is what is slipping, not tcc.
